Ho‘oku Consulting Engineers, a woman owned small business, is a full service structural engineering and consulting firm located in Hawai'i. We perform services on Oahu, Maui County, Kauai, Big Island and Guam.
Our vast experience ranges from large projects such as barracks, hangars, residential and commercial buildings, to small remodels and retrofits. With over 20 years of experience, our firm specializes in structural engineering, forensic engineering, seismic evaluation, seismic rehabilitation, and quality control. In addition, we have extensive experience in Department of Defense (DoD) construction projects with services including antiterrorism force protection design, blast & progressive collapse design, structural inspector of record (SIOR), quality control, request for proposal (RFP) preparation, and security engineering.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
Kapolei Car Wash & Convenience Store
In coordination with Innovative Design Studio, the Kapolei Carwash and Convenience Store were designed to meet the durability requirements set forth by the Owner for the state-of-the-art carwash, the gas station convenience store use, and the hurricane-prone wind and seismic code provisions. In addition, the stringent City of Kapolei Urban Design Plan mandates design guidelines which resulted in the use of a concrete tile roof. The heavy roof loads required careful coordination with the roof structural system for the large roof area and overhangs of the high-bay carwash.
